Gadhika is a ritual dance performed by Adiya tribes of Wayanad district . The performance is also done as part of a ritual for having a safe delivery of child . Gadhika begins with the principal master praying Lord Siva for his help to cure the patients . The prayers are in a strange dialect . It contains many Kannada words . In this ritual gods and goddesses like Chamundi , Maniamma , Karinkali were enrolled by the performance . The participants include men dressed as women whose ferform is to welcome the gods and goddesses. They arrived in response to the summons from Lord Siva .
