The house boats have furnished bedrooms, modern toilets, kitchen, etc. Most of the boats are powered by a 9 hp engine. |

The house boats are known as ‘ Kettuvallom or boat with knots ‘. The entire boat was held together with coir knots only, not even a single nail is used during the construction. The Kettuvallom was covered with bamboo mats and coir . Meals would be cooked on board and supplemented with fresh fish from the back waters. |

Alappuzha previously known as Alleppy , is surrounded by canals and waterways. It is also known as ‘’ Venice of the east’’. Life on the backwater is entirely a different one, there are no roads but only water ways. On the banks one can see green rice fields and coconut farms , temple and church .The main attractions of the back water journey are the water birds , flowers and greenery along their banks. Alappuzha is also known world wide as a center of the coir industry . In the back water cruise you can see the coir making units . |

pick up from Aleppey finishing point jetty at 12.00hrs. Cruise through Pallathuruthy , Pookaitha and reaches Champakulam . Visit the church which is more than 200 years old. After that proceed to Moonatummugham for night stay. Enroute can stop at Nedumudy to visit the local market. |
